Newcastle United FC puts Loober to good use

The Chronicle in Newcastle (UK) needed a simple way for their reporter to provide a match commentary from a pre-season friendly, they used Loober.  Lee Ryder called into Loober via his mobile, and broadcast directly to hundreds of NUFC fans listening in via a flash widget here.

Facebook Broadcasting Widget!

If you have Facebook then you can now broadcast your room live to your friends! All you have to do is click on 'my room' at the top of your loober, click on more details about broadcasting then add Loober application and follow the links! It's Easy! Then right click on your Loober and click 'start room broadcast' and all your friends have to do is click play and they can listen in in to what's going on in your room!

New Investment

We are pleased to announce that one of Skype's early contributors/investors Morten Lund, has taken an equity stake in our parent company Confabulate Limited.  In the past couple of months Morten has discussed the shape of things to come with top advisors for Nicolas Sarkozy, Angelina Merkel and Hillary Clinton, so we are honored he found time for us.

Renowned talk show host and raconteur David Banks will be on Loober today and most weekdays at the same time.  His two hour show starts:

11:00 am in New York (11:00 Eastern Daylight Time EDT)

Loober Upgrade

The latest version of Loober is now available to download from www.loober.com

Release 1.3.5 has a great new feature - Voicemail is now ready for more general release.

Loober Voicemail! - Now you use Loober to contact your friends when they are away from their computer.  Right click your mouse button over Loober and record your Voicemail message - this is what people hear when you are offline.  Skip through other people's voicemail and leave them a message by clicking on their Voicemail link on the search page.

Loober 1.2.3 is here!

We've added loads of new exciting features to this upgrade. There's a lockable room feature, where you can lock your room to prevent others from joining, and an arrived muted feature where you can choose for new users to enter your room muted. These features can be accessed by right-clicking on your Loober icon.

Of course the most exciting new features of all are the new Sound Effects added to the Loober text box!

Launching Loober

At the end of 2006 we came up with an idea to have a FREE VOICE CHAT Service based on P2P technology. Our vision is a free speech, to build a place where people from all around the world can talk together for free! We want to make Loober easy to use, so we don’t ask for any personal data from our users, and the most important thing is that Loober is FREE FOREVER.

On May 14 2007, we finally managed to launch Loober and started inviting users to join.
After months of hard work it actually happened, we went live!  :)
But we still have a lot to do…..
